A Selah service calls out for my own participation.  This is not a service for those desiring to be passively entertained. One must either choose to enter in or be terribly bored.
Silence is an important element in the service, as important as the readings or the songs.
The rhythm of it allows me and encourages me to reflect on all that is swimming inside of my head, heart, and body, and to slowly let it be part of my worship experience.
